Founded in 2010, SQM Frontier Management LP (SQM) is a SEC Exempt Reporting Adviser focused on Frontier Africa and the Middle East. Collectively, our team has more than 65 years of investment experience in the region. Our clients are primarily institutions including university endowments, charitable foundations and pension funds. Our role is to rationally and methodically invest their capital into listed companies in two of the most interesting, fast growing and traditionally misunderstood regions of the world. We, and our clients, embrace this misunderstanding as it brings with it inefficiency, a trait which, to us, spells opportunity.
SQM draws upon the team’s extensive experience of investing in frontier markets. This experience included helping to create and refine an investment approach specifically designed to address the inefficiencies and difficulties of investing in companies listed in Africa as well as the Middle East.
